Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Club of America’s premier recognition program, Candidates are outstanding members, 14-17 years of age who exhibit exceptional leadership skills, and academic and outstanding service to the Club and community.

Candidates who have competed in the YOY Academy and Competition, have gone on to great success and are proof of the impact Clubs make in transforming and saving kids lives.

Today’s students continue to face difficult decisions about their future, including whether college is an affordable expense. We believe that every child deserves a bright future, and that is why funds raised through this year’s Youth of the Year Celebration will go to support academic scholarships and life-changing teen programs at Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii.

We are excited to welcome you back in person to the beautiful Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, to listen as Youth of the Year Finalists share their inspiring stories and celebrate the announcement of our 2024 Youth of the Year.

The winner of the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii Youth of the Year Competition (February 10, 2024) will then compete for the 2024 Hawai’i State Youth of the Year title in late March- Early April. The State winner goes on to compete in the Pacific Regional competition this summer.
