Since 1947, Youth of the Year has been Boys & Girls Club of America’s premier recognition program, celebrating the extraordinary achievements of Club teens. Over the years, these individuals have exemplified the Boys & Girls Club mission and are proof to the impact Clubs make in transforming and saving kids’ lives.

Candidates who have competed in the YOY Academy and Competition, have gone on to great success.  YOY is arguably one of the most impactful and rewarding events of the year!

Today’s students continue to face difficult decisions about their future, including whether college is an affordable expense. We believe that every child deserves a bright future, and that is why funds raised through this year’s Youth of the Year Celebration will go to support academic scholarships and life-changing teen programs at Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii.

We are excited to welcome you back in-person to the beautiful Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, on February 26th, 2023, to listen as Youth of the Year Finalists share their inspiring stories and celebrate the announcement of our 2023 Youth of the Year.

The winner of the Boys & Girls Club of Hawaii Youth of the Year Competition (February 11, 2023) will then compete for the 2023 Hawai’i State Youth of the Year title on March 2023. The State winner goes on to compete in the Pacific Regional competition this summer.
